Not your typical princess rescue.
She hesitates to speak, struck with fear and despair. Just like that, everything was taken away. Her sanctuary shaken to the ground. She was unhappy. She wanted to cry. She did cry.

“My prince…” She said, holding him in her arms.
‘Dead,’ She thought, staring at his sliced body. Blood staining his clothes, and dirtying her fragile, pale arms.
‘He’s dead…’ She brought his limp body closer, burying her face into the fleeting warmth of his breast to sob.
“No…” She whispered lowly, “This can’t be happening…”

The clinking of metal greaves got louder and louder as she lamented. She wanted to hide. To disappear. To die.
Her blue eyes drifted upward as the knight stared down on her. His dark armour covering his being. He held out his hand, his black gauntlets laughing at her.
“I’ve been looking for you, princess.”

She looked down at her prince, parting his dark hair delicately to stare at his face. Her face was soft, vulnerable to the cruelty of the world. She shook slightly.
‘Gnomo, love… Please forgive me… I didn’t want…’ She continued to cry; why did it have to come to this?

“This wouldn’t have happened, hadn’t you fallen in love with this monster.” The knight’s words were ice as the princess froze.
“Just look at him.”

He grabbed her wrist, forcing her to rise to her feet. Her dress covered with her lover’s blood.
“Disgusting, you’re all bloody.”
“You… you’re the monster…”

Her prince rested on the floor, expression forever a painted sadness. His black eyes beady and his complexion olive. Lips slightly parted to reveal sharp, pearl teeth, as if silently screaming: don't leave, please.

“I’m taking you back to your mother and father. They ought to lock you up in your room for what you‘ve done…”
“P-please...! Don’t take me there!”
