night drive

I hit the floor
but you're already out the door
through the chaos I'm guided by your voice
I shouldn't have dropped, what a stupid choice
catching up to you, I pass screaming bodies
now I'm stuck, confused as you call me
I see you behind the wheel
now we're driving before I'm even in
and I feel the hole but not the pain
because of the adrenaline

now the lights are a blur as my breath is slowing
you push to 90, like a maniac with skill
