A young woman learns she is to visit her relations in England. Year...18??
"I believe I have been wrong to raise you as I did." Captain Manchester said to his daughter after he finished listening to her curse out

a shipmate. A bear of a man, standing well over six feet with a full beard and founded chest, he was often refered to as one.

"Don't be rediculous father." Telly Manchester rested her hands on her hips as she watched the man she disliked most walk away

grumbling. "I have seen more and done more than any woman my age could ever hope for." She turned her sparkling green eyes to her

father, "I do not want to live with them. They will try to turn me into a Lady."

One month ago the Captain recieved a letter from her grandfather stating that it was time for Chantal to come home to Westwind to

learn about who her mother was and who she is suppossed to be. Lady Chantal of Westwind. As much as Captain Manchester hated it,

he knew he had to send his daughter to them. A ship full of men is no place for a lady. Not that his Telly is one but she was deffinitely a

woman, as many of his men have pionted out to him.

"Yes Telly, I am sure they do." He took a deep breath and let it out slowly before giving her the news. "We will be passing a ship by

the name of The Glorious Wonder, on her will be your escourt to England. You will board her."

"Damn it all father. Please don't make me do this. If mother were alive she would not do this to me." She couldn't know for sure about

that, her mother died when she was only two years old.

"Your mother wouldn't have to Telly," he argued. "You would already be one."

"To all hell." She snorted.

"Please don't talk like that."

"How long do I have?"

"A week."...
