A young boy, Ben Hue, tortures a man for information. What does Ben want to know?
My Mind, Atlantis

The Abandoned Top Floor of a Studio Building
Ryanston, Massachusetts

“Who are you?” said the man with immense fear; because he was highly aware he was in great peril.
“Who am I?” Ben Hue said back, with excitement, “No, no, you see, the question is, ‘who am I, now?’”  The man realized that Ben was imagining some horrors that he wanted to inflict upon the man, who was duct taped to a wheeled arm-chair, and Ben could easily tell the man knew by the look on his face.  Ben felt powerful doing this, knowing that he was not able to retaliate.  The standing, seventeen year old stated with pure joy, “I AM YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE!”

“He’s a smart kid,” said Mr. Skept, Ben’s English teacher, “He just doesn’t apply himself.”
Ben was tired of hearing that damn phrase.  Apparently, so was Chelsey, his mother, “Is there anything that I haven’t heard that you would like to tell me?”
“I don’t mean to sound pessimistic, but I don’t think that there’s a chance for your son, Benjamin Hue, when it comes to him passing my class, and passing it is a requirement for him to move on to senior year.”  Mr. Skept did not sound ‘pessimistic’, he sounded more uncaring.  He sounded like it wouldn’t matter if his own student passed or failed.  He sounded like he had better things to do, instead of helping out an 'un-applied, intelligent kid'.
So, if you don’t care, about my education, why should I be here?  Ben thought to himself.
He decided not to waste Mr. Skept’s time and walked out of the meeting.
Ben then faced another day of teachers looking down on him, and feeding him the paraphrased words “You’re going to fail.”

Operator: “911. How can I assist you?”
John Doe: “Oh my God, stay alive, man.”
         Operator: “Is everything alright, sir?”
John Doe: “This man is bleeding!  He’s, like, nailed to a chair.  Come on, man, stay with me, here.”
Operator: “Where are you right now sir?”
John Doe: “Top floor of the Studio Building.”
Operator: “Okay, we’re sending help along the way, sir.  May I have your name?”

Ben walked to his sister's room to see if she, Jessica, was awake.
         She was - this time.
"Mom wants you home tonight for dinner, alright?"  Ben stated.
"I'm fifteen, and she still treats me like I'm six."  Jessica complained.
Ben laughed, "I never knew a six year old who went out for an entire night to return in the morning."
"I have friends, you know.  Maybe you should get some."
"What do you and your friends do?"
         "You don't need to know."

Ben smacked the man in the face, and proceeded with the statement he had used for a halh-an-hour now, except slower, "Tell me what you did."
"What the fuck are you talking about!?" Cried the man.  He saw Ben pull out a nail gun from a bag.  "What are you going to do?"  He said with a concoction of curiosity and fear.
Ben placed the nail gun on the floor.  Picked up his duct tape and put a strip of it over the man's mouth and one strip over his eyes.  He then said "Atlantis: A place of great intellect, yet in one night it was destroyed.  My mind: A place of great intellect, yet in one night it was destroyed."
He fired a nail into one of the man's hands allowing it to hold him to the arm of the chair and listened to the man's agonizing, muffled cry.
         Then the other hand.
Then one of the man's ankles.
         Then the other ankle.

"Ben."  Called the wood shop teacher.
Ben turned and walked to his teacher, "Yes?"
"Did you see any thing suspicious today?"
"It's the last day of the school year.  I don't think that there will be anything suspicious happening."
         "All the more reason."
         "What's missing?"
         "I think my nail gun."
"You probably packed it, like you do at the end of every class."
         "I hope so."

In Front of a Studio Building
Ryanston, Massachusetts

He better have followed my e-mail, thought Ben, it's bad enough that I had to pose as one of her friends.
Ben saw this so-called 'Andy', assuming that was the man's real name.
The man walked by opened his cellular phone and texted the words, "Im hre" to the girl he was going to meet.

If only that 'girl' wasn't Ben.  Maybe 'Andy' would not have such a frightening night.

Ben received the text.  Unraveled his duct tape and placed it over the man's mouth from behind.  The man grabbed the tape.  Allowing Ben to grapple his hands and to throw him to the ground.  The man was knocked out from the impact.  He carried him in the building.  One of the rooms on the first floor was unlocked and opened, therefore exposing an arm supporting chair with wheels and a tape that Ben had other uses for.  Ben duct taped him to the chair.  Rolled him to the elevator and went to the top floor.  He rolled the man to the center of the vast floor...

...And waited for him to wake up.

He took off the tape from the man's mouth, but not his eyes.  "Tell me what you did."  He said calmly.  Ben stroked the nail on the man's right hand.  The man whimpered.  "I'm so close to the answer I can almost most touch it.  Can I touch it?  The answer?"  He fired the nail gun to the ceiling as a warning shot.
The man heard the warning shot, "Alright! I'll tell you!..."

Jessica Hue screamed, "NO! PLEASE NO!"  She was terrified to sobriety, as this man she thought she could trust raped her.  She added, "STOP ANDY! STOP!"

         He didn't.

"You sick fuck!"  Was all she repeated to herself.
         "Please don't tell?"  Pleaded Andy.
"I hope you rot in prison you psycho!"  She picked up the phone.  While still crying, she declared, "I'm callin' the cops."
"No!"  Andy pushed her into the burrow next to his bed.  She didn't get up.  She never did.  She would later be labeled as 'missing'.

All Ben wanted to know was, what does Jess do?  So he followed her and saw this nightmarish outcome instead.

         My mind, Atlantis.

"You happy!?" said the man with tears leaking through the duct tape covering his eyes.
Ben took off the tape.  Pointed at a camera and said, "Smile you just got recorded in your confession that you RAPED MY AND KILLED LITTLE SISTER!"
Ben took the nail gun.  Pointed it at the man's head; the man begged, "Please!  I don't wanna die."
"Worse." responded Ben, "You'll live and suffer."  He put on the man's mouth, another strip of duct tape. Angled the nail gun towards the man's bottom jaw and fired.  The man screamed in sorrow but only the 'm' sound could be heard from him.  Ben then called 911.
A pause occured, then he said,  “Oh my God, stay alive, man.”...
After he was done he placed his open cellular phone down and turned the man's chair so the man was facing the window.  He whispered in his ear, "This will be the last time we meet."  Ben ran towards the window and jumped through it head-first.  He was to fall six stories.
