Love Letter

Plain paper never looked so good as when it bore your writing
I couldn’t tell the words it said, but it bespoke exciting
The stationary was superb, the seal was bold yet pretty
And every sentence, I am sure, was excellently witty
If I could ever read the note, I’m sure it would amaze me
If I could ever write you back, our correspondence would be
As perfect, better than the best, of every lovely letter
If only you could write bolder and I could see much better
