a poem about loss, in tribute to a great man, &single father of 4 who succumbed to illness
while walking far, i find no road, nay not that i may travel upon,

i see the ground shake, and fall into the abyss, spinning fast i find no pain,

it is hidden there inside,

knowing not which way i should turn i pause, i stare blinking into the sun, the blinding light is comforting,

i trip, and fall, i skin my knee, i stare as i see it bleed,

i sit, as i suddenly feel, and weep for the memory, weep for the loss of one who was,

shed tears for superman,

who would have guessed that in the end, it would be he who defeated himself,

i stare with tears in eyes, and watch the world fall away,

master artist, warrior, guardian, king,

all things fade they say,

yet it blooms in me the fresh new mourning,

of a father fallen, while his children stay.
