My Busy Busy Baby Brother

My Busy, Busy Baby Brother

Manny is my baby brother
Who’s as busy as can be.
He just learned how to crawl around
And now gets into everything.

Just yesterday he crashed my fort
That I built with my brand new blocks,
And then he found the laundry basket
And miss matched all our socks.

He found mommy's sewing kit
And unraveled all the spools.
When mommy found him he was surrounded by thread
That was soggy from his icky yucky drool.

Did I mention that he puts everything
In his mouth whenever he can?
Books, table cloths, and even shoelaces
Those things don’t seem very appetizing, I just don’t understand.

When mommy, daddy, Manny and I
Go out to a restaurant to eat
Manny will get a kick
Out of squiggling and squirming in his seat.

And feeding him, oh boy
What a sight that is to see.
By the time he’s done with his meal
He is covered head to toe in peaches and green beans.

One day my friend Emily came over
To play a game of double dare
When all of sudden Emily yelled “Ouch!”
“Your baby brother just pulled my hair.”

Sometimes when we’re watching a movie
Whether in a theater or on T.V.
Manny will add his own sound effects
By screaming, clapping and babbling.

Bath time is another story
Where Manny gets as busy as he can get,
Splishing and splashing all over the place
Stear clear of the tub or he'll get you soaking wet.

But finally at bed time
After a busy, busy day
Manny snuggles up in his crib
And dreams the night away.

And when he’s asleep I think about
All the things that he has done
And I must admit that he sure makes
Everyday super duper fun.
