The body may die but the spirit stays with us on earth
LEAVING

You may not see me,
Yet, who can say what it is to just "BE"?
I am the tree, stong yet gentle,
You see, I am no longer mental!
I am the waves rushing in and out,
So, you see, my body did not need to hang about.

Without the body there is no pain,
Only a quiet calm to contain.
A spirit flying free from images that bound....
Bound the physical to torture filled mounds.
No longer can the key lock in,
This pain, this horror, this being that was just sin!

Do not weep, I'm finally asleep,
Through the rustle of the wind I'll still creep....
Hold those tears, try not to cry,
I've gone to rest, but will stay close by,
There's no need to say goodbye.....
Look up and see me smiling from the sky.

Trust in me that I'm now content
My spirit free though my body's spent.
Believe that now my mind is at rest
Released back to nature, it's for the best!
The breeze you feel is my contented sigh,
Free at last to be as one, I fly high into the sun filled sky.
