An argument with laziness
It started as a thought,
a moment of rest was well deserved.
A moment longer wouldn't matter,
the staus quo would stay preserved.

A moment longer began to linger
without intention or desire.
A moment longer pulled the day in
and saw it quickly expire.

Left in darkness with a thought,
answers and questions circled round.
The moments now had disappeared
like silent tears upon dry ground.

Desolation now complete,
and yet that thought had come unbidden.
The moment turned the day to waste,
the cause of life remaining hidden.
