The desperate longing for Freedom comes at how much you give up.
I pass by her every day.
I look into her eyes.
I look into her soul,
And her heart is crying.

She's dressed in pearls
And white feathers.
Her pale hair drapes the
Ground when she kneels.

I pass by her every day.
I try to ignore her eyes,
Her large black eyes,
And her thin white lips.

She's cursed with such beauty.
Such beauty to waste.
She does nothing all day,
But sit there and look sad.

She woke me one midnight.
Banging on the glass,
Trying to crack it.
I hurried myself to wake and fix it.

She tried this every night
After that night.
I pass her by every day,
And every day, her tears mist the globe.

The night I went away,
Was an afternoon I can never forget.
I came back to this hallowed place.
There she was.

She was out of her shell.
Lying on the floor.
Exposed to our air
And losing what little colour she had.

I picked her up,
And she looked up at me.
She let me look into her soul
And her heart was crying.

She let her beauty go.
She let her grace leave.
All she needed was her Freedom,
And her ultimate demise.

She was trapped in a land
Where she blended in too well.
She was born from the snow
And cursed in confinement.

Her grey eyes fluttered,
Like a butterfly.
Her soul was fading,
And her breath was small.

She broke the pearls
On her neck,
And they turned into
Plastic beads.

With a cry in her heart,
And the glass in her hands,
The girl in the snowglobe
Breathed her last goodbye.
