A summer’s evening, so bright and fragranced,
I went to the sea-shore to stroll in your memories
A place quite ours, A venue of our first meet
Far from home, exotic and very breezy.
Took a long walk, from north to south
Saw some children merrily at play
No doubt everyone was quite busy
Spending an evening on a Sunday
Bare-footed, slowly I was walking on
A place I stopped on the Golden Sand
Thought someone’s following me
Stopped, turned and looked back to pretend.
I sat down calm, each breeze caressing my cheeks
And the waves entertained me in melody
Trying to bring a happy smile on my face
Thinking I would smile with their parody.
Upon the sand I wrote your name
Bold, big and in some stylish way
There came the waves and with one go
They rudely washed it away.
So, I wrote your name again and again
And the waves came and washed them away
I was determined to write again
But my efforts were falling prey.
The you came and took my hand in your’s
Pointed to my heart, and said in replay
“Darling , etch my name out here
For it will be here to forever stay”.
