Part 1 -- Database Bio Name: Shirre Norvesha (Nicknamed "Cheap-Shot" by Naruto) Age: 24 Height: 6 feet 0 inches Weight: 67.5 kg (150 lbs) Eyes: Dark Green Hair: Black Elemental Chakra Type: Metal (a specialized variation of earth) and fire. Part 2 -- Fight Sequence: Shirre vs. Kakashi See how much of Shirre's abilities you can figue out by reading this fight sequence, then see how close you are by reading the "Fighting Style" part. Scenario: Lady Tsunade has asked Kakashi to test the newcomer’s skills. To do this, Kakashi leaves into the woods some distance from the village, while Tsunade tells Shirre that she has a mission for him. Apparently, a skilled village ninja by the name of Kakashi has been possessed with some sort of madness and has gone missing in the forest some distance away. He has been attacking passersby, and must be stopped. Orders: Capture alive and bring to the village medical facility. If unable to subdue with without killing, contact HQ for backup. Action Sequence: (color changes indicate a change in the point of view) 1) Shirre enters the woods and switches his visor to an infra-red/x-ray overlay vision. He begins by scouting the local roads for signs of traveler ambushes, he finds none and assumes that Kakashi must not really be crazy, or he would not clean up after himself. Either that, or Tsunade is mistaken about the attacks. 2) Shirre switches to telescopic view and begins scanning for Kakashi. He doesn’t have to search for long. 3) Kakashi had been planning on setting traps around Shirre’s position to catch him when he moved to search another section of the woods, but he hadn’t counted on the capabilities of Shirre’s visor. Shirre spots him setting explosive tags about 25 meters away, draws his pistols, and begins launching himself from tree to tree, trying to gain an angle on Kakashi. 4) Kakashi realizes that the game is up, draws a kunai, and tries to attack. 5) With his sharingan, Kakashi sees the buildup of chakra in the pistol chambers and ducks behind a tree just in time to avoid a spray of stun shots. 6) Shirre attempts to keep Kakashi pinned behind the tree with one pistol. With the other, he programs a curve and sends a spray of stun bullets straight up so that they whip around and hail back down on Kakashi through the foliage. Again, Kakashi’s sharingan saves him. He sees a change in the chakra form in the pistol and evades the attack with a substitution jutsu. 7) With his infra-red vision, Shirre sees where Kakashi went after the substitution, but pretends not to. A second later, Kakashi attacks from behind with a kunai. 8) Anticipating the attack, Shirre activates the right arm portion of his combat suit and extends a hidden blade backwards from the elbow, intending for Kakashi to be impaled by this to-quick-to-anticipate trap. 9) Through sheer speed and skill, Kakashi is able to parry the attack, and a flurry of hand-to-hand blows are exchanged between the two of them. 10) Finding that he cannot match Kakashi in speed, Shire is forced to use his flash shielding technique a few times and then activates the rest of his suit, enabling him to attack Kakashi directly, heedless of Kakashi’s ineffective blows. He stabs and fells Kakashi. 11) As he shoots Kakashi with a stun-shot, Kakashi vanishes in a puff of smoke. Shirre realizes that he just killed a clone. The next instant, Kakashi again comes at him from behind, this time with his chidori technique. Shirre barely manages to dodge with a back flip high over Kakashi’s head. Kakashi grazes his armor, leaving a mark. Shirre feels this through metal manipulation and learns that Kakashi can pierce his armor. 12) Shirre draws his pistols again as he does the back flip and, as his flip reaches the upside-down position, fires on Kakashi. This is also just as Kakashi’s feet touch down from his lunge, enabling him to dodge away with his legendary speed. Just as fast, he jumps up at Shirre, anticipating and deflecting chakra bullets with sharingan and rikiri. 13) Shirre is left with no choice but to maneuver in midair to escape. So he activates his jet-pack and takes to the air above the trees. 14) After a few hand signs and the quote “Metal style: Soldier-less Weaponry Technique!”, Shirre summons several more pistols from his scrolls and begins to telikinetically rain gunfire on Kakashi from all directions. Kakashi is left with only one place to go, down, and takes cover underground. 15a Kakashi) decides to try and test the range of Shirre’s metal manipulation, makes 2 clones, and breaks cover to head in 3 different directions. 15b Shirre) summons a missile launcher from a scroll, loads it with a sonic stun RPG, and fires at Kakashi‘s location just as he breaks cover. 16) Kakashi gets to the very fringe of the blast’s radius before it catches him. At that range, it is not enough to knock him out, but enough to make him stumble for an instant. That is all it takes for Shirre to tag him with a pistol shot. Battle Wrap Up: When Kakashi woke up, he was securely bound with custom fitted metal bands, and Shirre was standing in front of him with a pistol pointed at his head, and a stun bullet glowing in the chamber (visible only to Kakashi‘s sharingan). Shirre got right to the point, “The Hokage sent me out here to catch a mad ninja that was attacking travelers. Either She’s lying, or you’re sane enough to clean up after yourself. What’s going on here? Talk... please.” “Hmmm... both actually.” Kakashi said calmly. “I was sent out here to test your abilities.” Shirre looked dumbstruck for a couple seconds. Then asked, “well, um, what did you find out?” “That you are a very skilled medium to long range light and heavy weapons specialist and a good scout.” After a second, Shirre grinned, “Well then, I guess I’d better bring you home so you can make your report.” Then he fired. Tsunade was sitting at her desk when The new ninja suddenly leaped in through the window with Kakashi on his shoulder and dumped the unconscious copy ninja on her desk. “What is the meaning of this?” Tsunade rose from her desk. “I thought I told you to bring him to the medical facility.” “Not that this wasn’t fun,” Shirre smiled, “but next time you want to know something about what I can do, there’s an easier way to find out.” Tsunade raised an eyebrow, “Which would be?” “Ask!” He leaped to the windowsill, “Can I go now? I’ll file my own report on my abilities if you like.” Tsunade sighed, “Yes, do that.” He vanished. A second later, Kakashi woke up to find himself laying on the Hokage‘s desk, staring up into her scowling face. All he had to say was, “Well... this is embarrassing.” Part 3 -- Fighting Style -- Tries to keep enemies at medium to long range while fighting with guns. -- Uses metal manipulation to keep himself supplied with ammo from surrounding metal, metal he carries with him in scrolls, or metal formed from his own chakra (in that order based on availability). -- Can also use fire manipulation to create highly concentrated fire bullets. These can be highly explosive and destructive. -- Uses fire and/or metal manipulation to provide the energy to fire his bullets. -- Also carries other types of bullets such as poison gas, knockout gas, smoke shells or even EMP boomers. He can even shoot homing beacons. -- Can control several more guns than he has hands through telekinetic metal manipulation. -- He is a programming expert and uses a mind-copy technique to copy portions of his intelligence into his clones or traps. This allows each of his clones to be as skilled as he is. In the case of traps, it allows him to do things like, for example, rig a gun in a tree with a camera designed to fire on a particular person when it recognizes them. -- Can use chakra programming to program his bullets to fly in certain patterns (for example, to curve and hit an enemy around a corner) and/or explode certain ways (for example, to travel to the end of an alley and explode to either side). -- Chakra Targeting is a technique in which he focuses on a living target and gains a feel for its chakra. This allows him to acquire a "target lock". The closer the target, and the stronger its chakra, the less time required to obtain a lock (for example, a powerful ninja is easier to obtain a lock on than a civilian--this would make Naruto an incredibly vulnerable target since he has the fox inside of him). Once a lock is obtained, he can chakra-program his bullets to follow that target. The drawbacks to this technique are that he must remain perfectly still while acquiring the lock, and the target creature will feel a prickling sensation while he acquires it, although they won't be able to tell where the sensation is coming from. -- Metal clones are extremely durable and hard to kill. His clones usually look like his combat suit, not like himself. Unfortunately, they require a lot of chakra to make. To offset this, he programs his clones with the skill to trade off various properties as necessary (for example, durability for firepower and back again as needed). -- If enemies get close, he activates an impenetrable full body armor suit that does not slow or hamper his movement in the least due to his metal chakra control. This suit is equipped with a variety of built in blades and guns. It allows him to fight very effectively hand to hand, although he prefers ranged combat. -- He can also activate his suit partially (for example, just a forearm and the corresponding hand). -- One of his ultimate techniques involves the creation/summoning of a giant battle mech. -- If he needs to shield himself from an incoming attack quickly, he uses a technique he calls flash shielding, in which he creates metal-like surfaces from his own chakra that appear instantly in midair where they are needed for only as long as they are needed and then disappear. The effect looks something like a metal version of Gaara's sand, only it appears and disappears instead of moves around. Unlike Gaara's sand however, flash shielding is not automatic. It must be consciously activated. He usually uses this when deflecting a few attacks that are not worth the trouble of activating his full body suit. -- He also uses big weaponry such as missile launchers. These are generally among his trump cards in range, programmability, and destructive power. -- Another set of equipment he can activate (alone or in combo with his battle suit) is a jetpack, leg jets, and/or arm jets--operated, of course, by chakra fire manipulation. He uses this sometimes for traveling. -- His arsenal is quite complete. He carries scrolls in his jacket capable of summoning several guns for almost every purpose. -- Prefers to eliminate enemies from the shadows before they even know he is there. This is one reason he favors guns, because once he has pulled the trigger, the only thing that could travel fast enough to warn an enemy of the oncoming bullet before it arrives is light, and if they haven’t seen him, they won’t see the bullet. Their only hope is if they noticed him before he fired. -- He almost always wears a special programmable headset that covers his eyes and ears. One of the many functions of this headset is to allow him to filter out certain visual and audio stimuli that might allow his enemy to put him into a genjutsu. This is very effective against such things as the sharingan. Other headset uses include, but are not limited to: - Multi-spectrum telescopic and microscopic viewing - Light amplification and suppression - Sound amplification and cancellation - Sonar vision - Listening to ultra high or low frequency sounds - Long range radio or optical communications and data transference - Visual and audio recording -- Shirre’s metal manipulation is not a magnetic effect like what has been demonstrated by other ninja in the Naruto series. It is direct metal nature manipulation. It is also a Blood-line-trait, like crystal style, and cannot be copied. Part 4 -- Outfit & Appearance -- When not in the field, he wears his headset on top of his head instead of over his eyes. -- Black hair cut fairly short with 2 unruly tufts on either side that look almost like animal ears or the tufts on lynx ears. -- Weaker looking than most other ninja due to his smaller upper body, but he is a good runner and has exceptionally strong legs. -- Wears a black jacket with a rain hood and lots of pockets both inside and out, a deep rich blue t-shirt under the jacket with a gold striking eagle emblazoned in profile on the chest, green camouflage cargo pants with a black belt, 2 gun belts with a chakra pistol in each, and black cross training shoes. -- He did not have a ninja band when he first arrived at the leaf village, but has since made himself a custom one with a curious symbol: a cross with a spread-eagle on it with the hidden leaf symbol on either side. He wears it on his left upper arm. Part 5 -- History and Relationships -- Claims not to have come from, or been trained in, any of the known shinobi villages, but to be from a land far beyond any of them. However, the leaf black ops finds this hard to believe, because it has always been thought that other parts of the world used other methods of warfare than the training of shinobi. As a result, they hold him in suspicion, and he treats them with contempt whenever they come to him about anything, though he never hides any information he has to give them. -- He claims he was forced to leave his homeland because of corruption. The truth is that “religious persecution” would probably be a better term. -- He respects Naruto and Tsunade because of their obvious concern for others and for the well being of the village in general. -- He came to the village as a wandering lone ninja and offered his services in exchange for a home and the normal mission pay of a leaf ninja. He quickly proved himself valuable and has proven trustworthy and reliable so far. He has never yet failed a mission, and has completed some A ranks. He has yet to be tried in an S rank mission. -- His rank has never been officially determined. He has thought about taking the chunin exam for fun, but his skills seem to be more on the level of a jounin, and he seems content with his rank-less status. -- Because of his reluctance to tie himself down with oaths or promises, he has never actually sworn allegiance to the leaf village, although he obviously considers himself one of them. This has disqualified him from consideration for some missions. -- As far as crushes go, a few different girls have expressed interest in him. Although, he was not unsympathetic to their feelings, he politely turned them all down. These girls include a cousin of Sakura’s, the girl from the ramen shop, and a medical ninja named Shana who is a few years older than himself. The only girl he has ever expressed an interest in is a pretty and smart young girl from Shikamaru’s clan. Although she seems to enjoy his company in general, she has held him at arms length romantically. -- Although he can’t personally match Shikamaru at shogi, he has created a self learning A.I. shogi computer program that Shikamaru finds incredibly difficult, but not impossible, to beat. -- He envies the byakugan and sharingan because of how extraordinarily useful they would be to his particular fighting style, especially when fighting multiple targets at once. He has respectfully requested permission to study the archives that concern the history and genetics behind these traits. His requests have of course been met with suspicion and refusal. Tsunade however believes that his requests are actually further evidence of his trustworthiness, since a spy would have tried to get into the archives secretly instead of risking suspicion by asking. Part 6 -- Personality -- He usually wears a casual smile, and likes to make jokes out of the mistakes or personality quirks of himself and others, or by finding the irony in various situations. -- He is only as respectful of an authority figure as they are of him, but follows orders regardless. This sometime causes his superiors to dislike him if they aren’t patient enough or are just plain the arrogant type. -- Places a very high value on human life. He uses “stun bullets” made of pure chakra even more commonly than he uses the lethal metal or fire types, and he will often shoot to wound/incapacitate if he is forced to use his conventional ammunition. -- He is attracted to pretty girls, but is never bold enough to make a move, and has learned to hide it out of respect for women in general. He respects their privacy. Still, he’s lonely, just waiting to find that perfect one. -- He is very forgiving if he believes an offender is truly repentant, and he easily overlooks small offenses. His weakness here is that he expects the same of others toward himself, although he tries not to offend purposefully. He finds people that hold grudges quite irritating. If he is deeply offended, he will try to swallow it, allowing his anger to build up. If the offender never tries to make it right, his anger will eventually explode all at once, and it is quite furious to behold when it does. Luckily, he is not easy to offend verbally, because as far as he is concerned, if someone doesn’t like him, then they are beneath his concern. -- Few things make him angrier than when others won’t believe him when he is innocent or telling the truth. He believes that trust is a two-way street, so if anyone treats him like this, he will refuse to trust them in return and will give them the cold shoulder. -- He is the opposite of Naruto as far as promises are concerned. He almost never makes them, and he never does so lightly or if he thinks he might not be able to keep them. -- He doesn’t gamble, never borrows money, and certainly never spends money that isn’t his own. -- He lives sloppily, but cleans up well when he is expecting company. He also serves good food to his guests, and often cooks it himself. -- He enjoys company, and will try to make friends with anyone who is receptive to him, and he seems to have some strange attraction to the people that want friends but can’t seem to make them. Maybe it’s sympathy. -- He is not the type to brag, except in jest. |
