Cassidy's story: Chapter 2

Chapter 2
Today is going to be a bad day. I can feel it. Mondays are always bad days.
"Cassidy!" Melinda yells from behind me. I turn around, and see her running towards me.
"Hi Melinda." i reply, in a tired voice.
"Whats wrong?"
"Nothing. I'm just tired."
"Are you sure?" The way she said it made me think she really doesnt care.
"Yeah, Mel. I cou-" Like always, Melinda's boyfriend interupted us.
"Jace! you scared me!" Melinda said to him, in a flirty voice, which creeps me out. This was usually the time i leave them alone, so i went to walk away. But i was stopped.
"Cassidy?" Jace asked.
"Yeah?" i replied. I'm so confused. this is the first time he's spoken to me sense he started dating Melinda.
"I have a favor to ask."
"Oh. Okay. Whats up?"
"Ca-" I cut him off.
"No. Now I have places to be. Bye." I said in a rude voice. As i walked away, i noticed the confused faces on thier faces. I dont know what that was, honestly. I've never been so rude to anyone. Then I got a crazy idea. Why not skip school? One day wont hurt. Woah, where did that come from?! I really am going crazy. It's like there were two voices having a fight in my head. "Skip school!" one as yelling. "Stay in school! Skipping is for underachievers." The other one said. I decided to listen to the first one and skip school. After all, one day wont hurt. I hid in the bushes as the students went into the school building. Once everyone was in, i stood up. But i had one problem. Where am i going to go for the day? I guess I'll figure that out as i go. I started walking down the sidewalk to get off of school property, when a principle saw me. Damn.... i thought. I tried to hide, but it was no use.
"Young lady! what are you doing here?!" Mrs. Briggs yelled. I really wasnt in the mood to deal with her. So i decided to be a little rebellious.
"Skipping school. Whatcha gonna do about it?"
"Inside now miss Anderson!"
"I have a name, and i would appreciate it if you called me by it."
"Inside. Now."
"No!" I said in a really nasty voice. I dont know where any of this is coming from. It's like someone other than me is controlling my mind.
"Now or you're suspended."
"Okay fine." I walked into the building, and went to the principles office where Mrs. Briggs led me. This was going to be interesting.
