A special relationship with a not-so-special friend.
Oh Sadness, I cannot escape you
You are one of the clever ones
I see you in everything I do
I wait for you when all is said and done
Tonight I will dream of you
Tomorrow I will think of you
Sadness, I cannot escape you
I miss you when you are gone
I tremble when you are near
You’re everything I want
You’re everything I hear
I can’t bear you another day
Sadness, I cannot escape you
You are my best friend
You are familiar to me
I can’t set you free
Sadness, I will not escape you
