OF THINGS TO COME



A New Year dawns with dreams of things to come,
sunshine days and peace on earth for everyone.
No looking back on things that we cannot change,
our lives touched by God, only He can rearrange!

It is His strength alone that helps us to endure
and who keeps our pathways straight and pure.
He helps us up each time that we stumble and fall,
we put our faith in His mercy, we will heed His call.

Oh, for the awesome wonder of things to come
when our days are numbered, lived one by one.
We know not what lies ahead, come what may,
but if we walk in His light, He will lead the way.

His hand reaches out to us in silent greeting,
it is His angels on earth that we'll be meeting.
Friends are precious and families our guide,
we have a bit of Heaven on Earth, in love abide.
