The world beyond earth is a world of,
Mystery,
Adventure,
Knowledge,
And you can visit it every day,
Climb the scales of your mind,
Dig up the contents of your heart,
And visit the bottom of your soul,
Then, you will have arrived.

*You Can’t Find The Light
You can’t find the light in the attic,
You can’t find the needle in the haystack.
You can’t find the love in you heart,
You can’t find the light.

You Know The Secrets
You know the secrets of the trees,
The whisper of the wind,
You know the moss points north,
You know the sun sets east,
You know who I am.

Beauty and Bold
Beauty and bold,
Contradict, so I’m told,
Life and Death,
Leave nothing left.

*The Rain
The rain washes,
The rain cleanses,
The rain clears,
The rain leaves no tears.

*Untitled
I am unknown, unseen, untitled,
The dark crawls through me, knowing,
The city, asleep, holds no comfort,
Sets no boundaries,
I am Untitled.

Lilly Pads
I wait near the pond,
To which she escapes, I am confined,
I hold her in times of sorrow,
Rejoice with her in times of joy,
But nothing can be done,
To protect Lilly.

Cancer
I watch, helpless,
As it consumes you,
Waiting for the cure,
That only weakens you further.
Every precious breath you took,
I have taken for granted,
But now I regret.
Tears escape my wary eyes,
As I mourn this sickness,
Depression unhidden from the world,
That will no longer exist,
Once you have left it.

*Thoughts
Depressing, silent,
Almost without existence,
Unknown to all here.

**Losing You
I’m starting to cope, to deal with it all,
But the pain will never go away,
Until losing you is only fiction.

Surfacing
The wall of emotions holds me back,
I am a shell of my former self,
Eating and breathing only to survive,
It is all because you have left us.

I Am The Dark
I am near you every day,
Waiting, watching, knowing,
But you don’t know me,
And you never will,
Because I am the dark.
I am the dark you force out of your mind,
I am the dark lurking in the shadows,
I am the dark that fills the hearts of criminals,
I am the dark.

Death Leaves No Trace
Death leaves no trace,
No reason, no rhyme,
The pain never disappears,
The depression never ceases,
But the life of one you love does.

Suffering
I watch you, helpless,
Writhing in the pain of disease,
I can’t listen, can’t know,
What you are being put through,
The guilty pain is too much to bear,
And I flee from the room,
Not glancing back to see you suffer more.

The Lives Lost
The lives lost,
The wars fought,
The lies told,
The slaves sold,
All pieces to the puzzle,
Yet to be solved,
The lives lost.

*Corpses
All the ones who couldn’t be saved,
All the ones with families waiting,
All the ones with things to do, people to see,
All the ones who were foolish enough to leave,
Without a goodbye.
All the ones.

What I Want
I want peace for the world,

Will this dream ever come true?
Always wishing, dreaming,
Never a reality,
Trying so hard to become one,

Praying to become one,
Everlasting hope,
Another day, another dream,
Cry for it, try for it,
Ending your thoughts with a dream.

***How Long?
How long must the anger remain?
How long can the wars last?
How long until peace upon this land?
How long is the trail of anger,
Our brothers have left behind?

I Know Nothing
Leave me be, don’t let me see,
I know nothing.
Leave me to die, hear me cry,
I know nothing.

Remembrance
The fine line,
Between remembering,
But not thinking about,
And forgetting,
The precious days,
That you once loved.

What Would You Do
For your children,
For your country,
For your world.
What would you do,
For it all?
Would you sail the seven seas?
Would you scale the steps to heaven?
Would you sink to the pits of hell?
What would you do?

Achievement
Achievement is not knowing you’ve gotten an A,
Or being the top of class,
Or even having scaled to the top of the mountain;
Achievement is knowing that I have helped you realize,
You should recognize the similarities and celebrate the
Differences.

Listen
If all is silent,
And all is still,
Go up the mountain,
And in the cave,
There you will find,
You are able to listen.

****Promises
The word means nothing,
You promised you wouldn’t leave us,
You promised you wouldn’t die until you were an old man,
You promised you would love me forever;
Promises are broken as soon as they are made,
Promises mean nothing.

Discussions
We talk about nothing,
Until something pops up,
Until nothing is something.

Longing
I long for water once I am in the desert,
I long for freedom once I am captured,
I long for peace once I am in the war zone,
I long for company once I am lonely,
I long for longing.

If You Can
If you can dream, I can stand the nightmares,
If you can love, I can bare the heartbreaks,
If you can fly, I’ll run along beside you,
If you can, I can, too.

**Comfort
Comfort is when you hold your child in a thunderstorm,
When you tell stories by the fire,
Comfort is when you love someone,
And they love you back.

Time Does Pass
So slowly, seconds are hours,
I hold myself together, waiting,
Wind howling, trees moaning,
I fall to the ground and become numb,
Days come too quickly, leaving too soon.

Ravens
Clawing at the innocent,
Working for the guilty,
Feathers falling madly,
Holding no kindness.

I Think I Can
I think I can, I think I can,
The words of the Little Engine that could,
I think I can... I think I can fail.

Is There A Happy Ending
I’ve made mistakes, this I know,
But are they worth the pain,
I’ve hurt others, been hurt myself,
And I’m still out in the rain,

The happy ending will never come,
I cannot try to pretend,
I wait so long, I cannot bear,
To know how it will end.

*The End of The World
A heartbreak,
A Mental Earthquake,
An eruption in your heart,
I refuse to realize,
The future up above.

I Know Your Secrets
The wind whispers,
The forest calls,
Your name is what you’ve heard,
You answer the calls,
Return the messages,
To hear their secret words.

Friendship
The rope bounding it together,
Is the love you know is shared,
Is the faith you have in each other,
Is the trust you put for each other,
Is the breaking point that never came.

Towers crashing,
Planes smashing,
People dying,
Children crying,
Faces showing,
People unknowing.

Unknown Paradise
Dolphins splashing the clear waters away,
Plants thriving in the tropical climate,
Birds flying through the life filled air,
No humans to destroy the unknown paradise.

Living to Die, Dieing to Live
Contradictions know no boundaries,
Longing ceases at no limit,
Dieing to live gives meaning for passion,
Living to die holds sacrifice and selflessness.

No Friend Like Loneliness
I wait for the friend,
Who is already here,
Who is loneliness.

**I Love
I love,
I fight,
I know,
I show,
I love.

*An Angel For You
I will send her down from heaven,
To protect you,
To love you,
To cherish the life you have,
To hold you,
To know you,
To hold your fragile hand,
An angel for you.


Chasing Dreams
A race against time,
The moonlight gleams across the blade of my sword,
I hold a quivering child tight,
Wishing this was the world, as most know it;
Somewhere deep inside me,
I know that if it was that world,
That chasing dreams would be meaningless,
Because there would be no dreams to chase.

Moonlit Night
The stars shine off my albino skin,
Radiant,
Wise owl coos,
Knowing,
Fireflies dance in the wind,
Obeying,
I dance with them,
On a moonlit night

*Change
Season’s change,
Leaves no remain,
Applies only strain,
A storm of rain.
