How much girls can hurt
I am always sad in the happiest way,
My memories fade as my dreams they do stay.
I long for your touch, although my smile may go,
I will wait to fall down to pretend its not so.

My happiest moments are written in sand,
From walks on the beach, holding your hand.
We laughed all the time, til' came in the tide,
Which swallowed us whole, the tears won't subside.

Our footprints were washed, away on that beach,
My hand it did tremble as for yours it did reach,
The somber tones of those methodical waves,
Left me all alone, my hands still your slaves.

So many mountains that we tried to climb,
Waiting for moments, believing in time.
Then the earth shook from the storm raging on,
I searched for your heart and your heart it was gone.

The water it washes away your sweet touch,
Through oceans, rainstorms, rivers and such.
I am always sad in the happiest way,
My dreams washed away now, but my heart it must stay.
