A collection of poems from the past to present.
"Ways To Escape"-
How do we escape what we hold most dear. When the idea of forgetting is what we most fear. Making her smile gave joy to my day, but now the smiles are all but thrown away. but now her face is filled with hate, I cannot ever escape this fate, for everything i do, makes me out to be a fool. her animosity grows stronger, leaving no where to wander, to escape her guilt, for a barricade of bricks she has built, to keep me out and away from her, so she is left alone to ponder, what it really was that I did wrong, and that she was right all along, that friendship was improbable, after that first kiss however unstoppable. Ways to escape, are few and far between. So how do i forget her with my conscious clean? We once hugged and called each other love, but nevermore she says giving me a shove, Then closes the door, to see her nevermore. But i do miss her eyes and her smiles, thinking of ways to escape all the whiles.

"Old Tree New Hope"
A tree as old as time it self stands alone, with a beard blowing in the wind, he whistles as the wind bristles his leaves, the seasons pass and he finds his past went by so fast, but now his time has come to an end, the architect is in high demand. Chopping him up piece by piece, forever lost his stories do cease. So never will tales of war, peace, play, and love be remembered, for the old tree was dismembered.

But there lies a new hope, a small budding flower that stoops, where the old tree once stood. He is small but large at heart, as he watches the last giant leaves disappear, the seasons do pass, Summer, Fall, and winter, spring, and once again the blossom blooms, it grows and grows forever more, giving a home to those that soar, and watches the earth grow every year, just as the old tree who had a beard.

"Cracked Pavement"
Three in the morning the streets are empty, the city lights slowly fade and flicker away, leaving the sky, to catch my wanderlust eye. And then I trip as i stare upward and fall onto the cracked pavement that is below me. How many have seen this side of the city? Backside down on the ground looking up and all around. I saw a shooting star for the first time behind the city lights, for at Three AM there's not enough light to shadow the stars. I could have moved from the cracked pavement, but for once I was not sad or mad that I fell upon the pavement clad. But happy and glad that i was alone with my thoughts, so i could think and gaze up at the sky, and forget all about being shy, cause there's no one to impress or depress while laying on the cracked pavement that I alone have claimed my place among this road due to coincidence and Irony that I fell into it's palm.

"Seven Deadly Sins"
Gold flows from the mountains, down into the streams, that fortune that fame, that wealth and that greed, It Kills the idea, of a perfect new age, bringing nothing but, anything but, this rich mans disease.
Jealousy springs, in self inflicting ways, it eats at the body, like the maggots in graves, it tears them apart, as they search for a new start, as their envy grows, within their stone hearts, wanting every desire, that they admire.
They lift their chin high, with their face showing pride, until they realize, that no one's on their side, making a big scene, looking for sympathy, from the surrounding crowd, that whispers and speaks, about the intolerable and detestable, vainglory that peaks.
The hopeless souls grow wrathful, as they don't get what they want, they live on hate and stubborn qualities, breaking out in anger enforced justice, that meets no ends until the other side shutters and shies away from the rougue, that is bursting into furious flames fueled by short tempers.
Hungry as the beast on a starved night the gluttonous belly of over indulgence bellows it's name across the table, grr it goes after a three course meal, so shovel it in quick and make the gurgling stop, to more plates, maybe that's enough to fill the empty spaces in your bowels.
procrastinating work that needs doing, timeout is no option when time is but a word, the sun came up and the work never starts, the sun goes down givng the sloth a frown, why so slow is it becuase you've lost that motive, that energy, that fervor, or is it the existence of lazy.
Legs smooth to the touch, entangled like vines, hair glistening and flowing atop the pillow, a soft sigh of ecstasy fills the room, as fingertips crawl down the spine and touch the nerves that cause quivering in pleasure, the taste of the tongue as lips meet, and the strong grasp of lustful hands upon the body of the one who walked by, and didn't say hello or goodbye just walked past oh so fast but long enough to dream of sharing one eventful night.

"Pull at my Seams"
Time ticking, and emotions rising, the truth be told we live to be old, but we resist the temptation of death so soon, and the fortunes we long for are soon to ensue, so say no more, i understand! I have my hopes and my dreams, but I don't have you to pull at the seams, I have but myself, my friend, and my mother, to make me wish to live forever. But I have no lover, for i am anything but clever, I'm wretched as could be, when they think of what they see. But the inner being as i see myself, is over-shadowed by endless doubt, but I am honest and true, it is the only truth i could give to you. So believe these words if nothing else, I love you and no-one else. Ive tried to show the feelings do grow, but each time I am shot down, I only wish to say goodbye to this town, and carry onward, hopefully forward, but transgression is always here to make me feel such fear, that i may live without love, and die with dreams of above, where there is no sorrow no longing for tomorrow, there is only the moment spent, waiting to return to my life again.

"Death: A Burden Relieved"
A shrill of wind strokes my body as it consumes my breath, not allowing me to breathe, but gasp.
Then a murmur rises from within the abyss, growing louder and louder and louder, leaving me deaf.
And then a glorious gleaming light shines down upon my naked soul, blinding my poor eyes.
All that is left is my scents of smell and taste. My body laying uncomfortably upon the brimstone.
So i may smell my body as it corrodes, and decays with rocks upon which it lays.
And taste the salty flesh that was my identity, grow bitter as the vile bile within my bowels.
Is this forgiveness for my sins? To be alone in grey silence, till i am cleansed?
What a lie, i once believed, that death, was a burden relieved.

"An Indiscreet Apology"
Silence fills my mind with the absence of thought. For the words I wish to use, for so long I sought, are impossible to comprehend, what words do you recommend? I'm sorry if I am not clear, on what you want to hear. I've told many a souls how I feel, but none can understand how long it takes to heal. Conversations lost are missed, and faces once seen are dismissed. Because I had only one chance, but now nothing but distance, between you and I and others who lie with lovers. Our apologies we do give, for we have such a short time to live. To see our friends and families too, and give our love to all we knew. So please accept this indiscreet apology for anything I may have said that came off crudely

"Sweet Understanding"
The sweet understanding of place and time, is the task of life that we bade upon. To realize the meaning of life is superb but to only so few, do deserve. Contemplating madness and insanity, we lose our forgotten vanity. We plunge into the depths of the unknowing, and return stronger and even still growing, intelligent and fearful of the truth. Realizing the strength of this generation of youth. We are all lost to think for ourselves, and bevel and revel in cumbersome wells, or knowledge and glory. For this sweet understanding is all but a story.

"The Life I Would Die For"
She wakes up, glances at me, closes her eyes just making sure its not all just a dream. When she sees me again, she wrinkles her nose and smiles. Kissing me on the shoulder. And then I hear those words whispered from her lips, "I love you." O' how it echoes in my mind. "I love you, I LOVE YOU!"
And then the next thing you know...
I wake up. With my arms wrapped around a stone cold pillow. My face buried in the blankets not wanting to open my eyes to my reality of an empty space on my bed laying next to me instead of a beautiful woman who loves me. But as the sun I rise from my bed and continue to play the broken record I call my life. Coming back again to sleep and dream of the life that I would die for.

"Worst Fear"
Walking by lonesome, I came across a road, i didn't know which way it would go, but i followed it none the less, and it definitely took me someplace, God bless. This road took me for a ride, up and down the hills like the tide, but then I suddenly felt a drop, it was life telling me it's time to stop. But I didn't listen I didnt turn back, I just kept going on track. But then something happened you couldn't conceive, I dropped dead just like that if you can believe. I thought i was alive when I awoke, so i just kept going until I spoke. There were no words no sounds to hear, It was if I was deaf in my ears. I pinched myself to see if I was asleep, but no pain came so i began to weep. I finally knew the my worst fear, dieing alone with no one near.
