A bad internet date
So after last month's DDD (Disappointing Dating Disaster) I figured I had little to lose, alas internet dating. My bestfriend convinced me to try a free site first before putting my hard earned money into finding a relationship. My bestfriend has a happy little family, a new baby daughter and a loving husband. The fact that I haven't had a relationship in four years has eluded her, and the concept of spending money to fall in love is foreign to her.
I figure a few dollars lost to something I really want makes sense. In any case i try a free site, aptly named 'Plently of Fish' which a collegue of mine refers to as 'Here fishy, fishy' because she cannot for the life of her remember the name.
Instantly i have to hide my profile because I find if you don't a thousand creepos are messaging you, and its impossible to weed through to the good ones. This means I have to contact someone first before they can view my profile and respond. At first I'm a lil scared of rejection, but for "experimental" purposes I start firing off messages like no tommorow. Sometimes I am a little miffed about not getting a message back, but for the most part men are favorable to my profile and respond back.
This is how i met Bad Andy. The fact that i messaged him first amazes me, and alerts me to the fact that you never really know who you are going to meet on the internet.
