To what shall I liken you...

Mystery

To what shall I liken you?
A lovely rose of crimson hue,
A summer day with skies of blue,
An inspiring sunset at the end of day
A cool drink of water along the way?

Yes! To all...but you’re much more,
With more sweetness than a candy store!
Sweeter than maidens of days of yore,
Making the hearts of men to soar,
As they stepped through the door!

You’re more to me than purest gold,
Thoughts of you make me bold,
Knowing you are precious to hold,
But my superlative are useless...so trite and old,
I shall liken you to a story...as yet untold!
