Wonder why ?

Ever wonder why
Things happen the way they do,
And at other times
Why they don't the way they ought to ?

Ever wonder why
Those who have their loved ones close to them
Resent their constant presence
While those who live miles away
Yearn to spend an extra hour
An extra day with them ?

Ever wonder why
Those born with silver spoons in their mouth
Rarely realise it
While those who struggle for one square meal
Daydream too ?

Ever wonder why
Those who have children
Don't for a good part realise how blessed they are
Unlike childless couples
Who never tire looking for that glimmer of hope ?

Ever wonder why
People living in strife-free nations
Don't relish their freedom
As compared to warring nations
Where being a refugee is the norm ?

Is it ,I wonder,
God's intentions
To upset the apple cart once too often
So that man does not take Him for granted ?
