When she died she was reicarnated into a lovely nymph who could bewitch men to their deaths just as a man bewitched her to hers. SOUND DEVICES: Setting Sun: ALLUSIONS: More lovely than a vision: metaphor that leads one to believe that the girl is more beautiful than anything imaginable. This seems to reference the myth of the Sirens. "And this she did with her singing//the golden Lorelei": this is another reference to Siren mythology and the legend of Lorelei |
