"Esteban" represents the beauty of the world. The women fantasize about how his life must've been beautiful.

Fable:

a story about extradinary/supernatural beings/incidents/legends

fits into the analysis b/c the poem is a fable of Lorelei, a siren-like nymph.

Peak of a Mountain:

the top of a mountain

fits into the analysis b/c it is the perch from where Lorelei lures men/sailors to her death

references a rock called Lorelei Rock which is at the deepest and narrowest part of the Rhine river.

also the supposed abode of Lorelei

      Lorelei

Rhine:

the river in Gmy where the Lorelei and her rock are located

fits into the analysis b/c it's the setting of the poem

Lorelei:

a nymph who lures men/sailors to their watery graves beneath the waves of the Rhine River

fits into the analysis b/c she's the protagonist

also the legend says that Lorelei was born when a young woman flung herself from the top of Lorelei Rock from a destitution

    of love from a faithless lover. When she died she was reicarnated into a lovely nymph who could bewitch men to their deaths just as a man bewitched her to hers.

ALLUSIONS:

More lovely than a vision: metaphor that leads one to believe that the girl is more beautiful than anything imaginable. This seems to reference the myth of the Sirens.
"And this she did with her singing//the golden Lorelei": this is another reference to Siren mythology and the legend of Lorelei
