Ask for a Hug

How do you ask for a hug?

I stand behind you sometimes I stand beside you just to look at you.
I want to be held I want to feel your arms around me.
Why don't I ask you wonder?
How hard is it to open your mouth and ask for such a simple thing?
Its not a big request why don't you just ask for a hug?
Those are the questions you ask of me

You sit and watch television
You see me look maybe you feel my eyes.
You shake your head or ask whats wrong.
How hard is it to ask for something you want you ask?
How hard is it to tell whats on your mind?

The answer I give to often
Nothing
Its not a lie its true to you
Nothing
You think that's what I want to share with you

A nothing answer from me should mean to you the real answer will mean nothing to you
The answer is so hard to explain I try to make it easy on us both by saying nothing
We are so different our minds work in completely different ways
Making nothing the easiest answer to give.

I think we both want what the other has problems giving.
When I say nothing it's as harmless as you not giving me a hug
