The Love I Once Had

The love I once had,
Is still in my life,
We share a beautiful child,
She was my wife,

All is well,
We are still great friends,
We get along,
Texts we send,

I see her,
Every now and then,
We chat a bit,
Ask how she's been,

I get lost in her eyes,
Every time,
And wonder,
Do I still long to have her as mine,

So much time has gone bye,
And everything thing is fine,
But I can't control,
My confused mind,

Thoughts of laughter and happiness,
All the times we had,
Very rarely,
Were they bad,

Since her,
No relationship has worked,
Dreams of the love I once had,
In my sleep have lurked,

But could she,
Ever want me again,
Or do we,
Make better friends,

They say if things aren't broke,
Don't fix them,
The world is turning,
I have few problems,

The love I once had,
I guess she will stay,
I'll day dream as usual,
And go on with my day.
