A Friend

A friend is someone, no matter if in need
Is someone to whom kindness is sown the size of a seed

Though yet this friendship whether great or small
Is a commandment with everyone God did call

Then some say a friend is a stranger yet met
A Godly ideal I'd surely bet

Still yet a friend, beside you through thick and thin
Will beside you remember to end your prayers together, with Amen

And though a true friend may not always see you as right
Will stand beside you, to help you with your daily plights

So now before you part and once again to say our time has end
I'd like to bestow upon you one last honor and call you
                              "friend"
