My view from a person who defended his girlfriend
I sit here
Behind these bars
They tell me I should reflect on my crime
Why?

I’m not sorry for what I’ve done
I was doing what I felt was right
I was defending my family
It’s survival of the fittest

I shouldn’t be in the punishment zoo
I have done nothing wrong
Only the lord can judge me
Society and my peers can’t

Nature doesn’t imprison the lion for fighting with a rival
A dog isn’t punished for attacking a threat
He is using his instinct
He isn’t committing a crime

I was only acting on my instinct
I saw a threat to my family
I acted upon it in the only way I knew how to neutralize the threat
Death

Humans are animals too
A human may have a more developed brain
But it doesn’t prevent the most basic action from occurring
Instinct knows no boundaries

If you walk up to a pride of lions
And you strike one of them
Your going to have a 500 plus pound animal
Charging at you looking for death

Nature knows only one solution to a problem
Death
There are no jails in nature
When two animals fight the main intention is death

Remove me from this prison
I have only listened to my instinct
We were given them for a reason
