a short story about Jesus speaking to his children
And he came to the big city where the children played in the scattered pieces of broken dreams
and he walked amongst the rulers of the paved roads as he listened to the silent screams of many
he stood in the center of the city and his heart wept as he listened to the mindless talk of the lost
and he entered the palace of the damned and ate of the food and drank from the cup of Seams

He continued his journey through the big city.... the days were long and hard and the burden was heavy
it was as though he were reliving his day with the cross and not much had changed
and he came to the end of a road to a place where the children gathered to engage in their trades
many of the children looked at him and wondered why this man dared to come to this place
for this was a sacred place for them to be away from the policies and practice of man

As he walked amongst them
a silence came swiftly over their stay
as they looked with curious eyes and saw
he was filled with a calm unlike any man that has ever dared to walk this path
they quickly understood it to be the steady stride of supreme royalty
as he came to a stop
the children circled around him wanting to hear his word
he smiled as he gazed tenderly at his flock
and with his soft voice he immediately cast away all fears
their bodies felt the voice of the truest King
and a feeling of pure faith gently washed  their spirits

Do not be afraid
I am the first and the last
the ruler of the kings of the earth
I am the one and the only
I am the moon and the stars that light your way in the night
I am the sun that keeps you warm in the day
I am your heart that beats rapidly as you breath
I am the air that stirs the trees and gives life to all things
believe in me
and partake in all that I have to offer
and my kingdom will be yours for ever and ever

Throughout my fathers land
from the north to the south
from the east to the west
there are many that speak of me but do not know me
there are many that know me but do not speak of me
and he lifted a stone from the ground and held it in his hand so that all may see
this stone is strong and unyielding
with your bare hands you can not crush it
with your bare foot you can not smash it
if you throw it hard to the ground it will not break
light a fire to it and it will not burn
it will take much hard work to destroy this small stone
the hard outer skin shields the life inside
and so to must be your faith in me
for my name is Jesus

And my door is open to all of my children
and when you speak of me you will know me
and when you know me you will be with me
and I will be with you in every walk of life
and together we will conquer all of your pains and all of your sorrows
and when you enter the door to my house your heart will be pure
and your spirit will be at peace
for my light will brighten your life now
and for ever and all the days to come
