reminiscing upon Laputa, a place that exists just beyond human reach
A beautiful structure
High in the curtain of the sky
Far from the pounding
ocean sprays
against rocky coasts
Held aloft on a hill of white
Supported by white beams
That shoot across each wall
With the suns commanding rays
Seeping through
Every nook
Every inch
of its marbled beauty;
And peering in
is an albatross
Stealthy streaks,
Color of mystery
King of the mind’s world.
Krekrekrek!
“Dive through the window,
and ransack a castle of its treasure.
Winged one,
whatever did you find?
Did you feast to your hearts desire
Or had there been unspeakable masses
of treasures
Of twinkling rubies and
fields of glittering emeralds
Oh how they taunt us
As they are beyond my reach
Awaiting, still
High in the curtain of the sky
Far from the pounding
ocean sprays
against rocky coasts
Held aloft on a hill of white
Supported by white beams…”
