it is a story about a girl whose life became hell |
It is Saturday. The clock is turning to 7 pm. This time is special for clock and Roshni also. She is at her room after returning from office. Roshni is a very hardworking 28 years old single girl. She is seated on her bed. She is calm but there is storm of feelings and memories inside her. Today one colleague asked her why didn’t you married yet. She had no answer, as usual. She gave an artificial smile, perhaps to conceal the truth. Suddenly she stood from the bed and walked towards the window. In a city like Delhi, traffic is the only thing that you can see by window. In this crowd of people, everyone is stranger for Roshni. In that storm of memories in her mind, she concentrated on that one. Karan is a colleague of Roshni. He is sincere, talented and somewhat good looking man. His nature and character is very nice. He was also impressed by Roshni’s divine beauty and helpful nature. Some days before he proposed her for marriage. She didn’t respond to him as she didn’t hear anything and moved away. Karan didn’t try anymore from that day. This behavior of Roshni was not for the first time. Whenever any man stares at her beautiful curved body, she feels that a hungry wolf is coming to eat her. In fact she is not completely wrong. Roshni was like this from ever. In this crowd of strangers, something is a little familiar. That is the breeze coming from the window. The wind of memories which is faster than breeze was forcibly blowing off the strong cover from Roshni’s heart. Roshni had just passed her board exam of 12th. She shifted to Lucknow with her family b’coz of her father’s transfer. She got admission in B.Com at Lucknow University. She was so excited for college. Roshni was a cute, full of life, lovely and a little naughty girl. Beautiful dreams in eyes and aroma of adolescence in a perfectly shaped body. That was first day of college. Roshni was going low headed on the way to her class. Suddenly a firm voice stopped her. “Hey you! Stop.” Roshni looked at the master of that voice. He was tall, young, muscular man with short hair and books in hands. “Look down! What’s your name?” “Aa..aa..Roshni, Sir” She forgot her name for a moment. “Which course?” The man fired another question quickly. “Aa..B.Com 1st year, Sir” Roshni was sweating badly. Somebody called that man from behind. “Come in uniform from tomorrow” “OK, Sir” Then Roshni went to her class room. After few minutes that man entered in the room. “Oops! He is a professor.” Roshni said to herself. But then she saw something unexpected. He came and sat at bench with his friends. He smiled at Roshni and high-fived with his friend. Now Roshni understood that she became the victim of a prank. Other girls told Roshni about Arun. Arun was a brilliant student and a helpful boy. That night there was no sleep in Roshni’s eyes. Today’s incident was repeating in her mind. Arun was also attracted to Roshni. Arun always seek an excuse to talk to to Roshni. Both became good friends. In the class Arun and Roshni always see each other and smile. Seed of love was fertilizing in both hearts. Soon this friendship changed to love. Roshni felt that she turned into a young girl. Both love birds often walk together often and talk in library for long-long time. Nobody told their feeling yet, perhaps there is no need of verbal expression. Three year spent very quickly. Final term exam ended but that was not good news for Arun and Roshni. One month later when Arun felt unable to stop himself, he went to Roshni’s home. Roshni opened the door. There was no limit of Roshni’s happiness when she saw Arun after one month. “Hi! How are you?” Arun said. “I’m fine. Come in, sit here.” “Where is your mom?” “Whole family went to a marriage” “I missed you so much” “If you missed me then why you came after a month. You know how I spent this month.” “It means you also missed me.” “Yes” Roshni said low headed in shy. “So…” “Hey, what is on your mouth?” Roshni said. “Where….?” “Here….” Roshni kissed Arun’s lips softly and said “I love you” “I love you too” Arun wrapped Roshni in his arms. They kissed again and again, hard and harder. They laid on the floor. Both forgot everything even breathing. Sometime later… “That was so special for me” Roshni said as she put on her kurta. “Yes! That was wonderful” “Will you marry me” Roshni said. “Yes I will” he replied. “Arun, my father will not agree for our marriage. Let’s run away.” “No, that will be a coward decision. I will talk to your father after getting job” “I am proud of you” After that Arun went to Allahabad for job. Few months later Arun returned to Lucknow for a party in his family. When Roshni got news that Arun is back she was so happy. She was so excited to meet him. After all now Arun was going to talk to her father for marriage. Roshni went to that party. Soon Roshni saw Arun. Her heart was dancing with happiness. She went near him. “Hi! Arun” “Hi! Roshni How are you.” “I’m fine” Roshni noticed a young girl was standing beside Arun. “Wouldn’t you introduce me to her?” “Yes sure. Meet my wife Ankita” Roshni’s smile disappeared. She was standing like a statue. She inappropriately joined her hands for Ankita and walked back. There was no expression or tears on her face. She was walking like she was robbed. “Roshni, what are you doing on the window. Come here.” Her room mate called her. Roshni stepped back from window and laid on her bed. She fell in love only once and she failed. That betrayal changed Roshni forever. She has no emotion for anyone now. She is none other than a dead body. |
