Mountains

I know that You can move this mountain
You can lift it from my sight
Take it away, so for one more day
I don't have to fight

I'm on my knees and begging
I've been praying all night long
I am hoping for an answer
Because I simply can't go on

Cleanse my skin with ashes
Cleanse my lips with coal
Burn away this wretched flesh
And reveal my dried up bones

I am nothing that I want to be

Maybe I have always been here
And I've always been depraved
It's my humanity, the old disease
