Mourning

We are entering yet another new year,

Oh it saddens us so that you are not here.

The holidays now passed, we barely made it through,

Everyone’s thoughts so consumed with you.

Your presence still lingers, we can feel you are near.

Remember the Santa you made for Christmas that year?

It was hung by the fireplace, as usual, with care.

Adored by so many , we all miss you so much!!

Your smile, your laughter, your loving touch.

All of us wondering, searching for why.

Drowning in oceans of tears we have cried.

Although the time for us to part has come,

And you seem so far away, we know you're

In a better place, where angels light the way.

We love you and miss you, in our hearts you will always stay.
