A brief reflection of the pressures I'm feeling with the HSC year
The Symphony

The waves are crashing in
like symbols in a symphony
all at the right moments
knowing that they can push me up
leaving me on the edge
just feeling, but unknowing of the effects

the questions keep rolling in
i just need time
take myself away from the bombardment
peace is one of those things
taken for granted when offered so carelessly
time to sit back and let the waves roll over me
not effecting me, but helping me survive

on the brink of deciding, whether to finally let them drag me
or to keep fighting with my head above
the white frothing foam
my decision is made for me
the sea spitting me out, propelling me upwards

rocks scraping my legs
tearing them, leaving my skin in shreads
like old bloody peelings
on the edge of the cliffs
the waves battering me against the hard stone
pushing me to carry on, to pick myself up
