The woman of your dreams steps into reality
You see her across the space,
Standing alone,
Yet with the whole world behind her

A dark dress she wears,
Darker than midnight on a moonless time
Yet, she becomes the moon,
Her skin so pale,
Luminous and smooth like marble

Your eyes are instantly drawn to her face,
You trace the soft curve of her full lips,
Lips that only the dark crimson of blood can compare

Her cheeks are a rosy pink,
Her nose straight and small,
Her eyebrows arched and delicate,
Thin like razors

Her hair a violent shade of a colour not known to man
It spills down around her face,
Framing it,
Adding wonder to it
It shivers suddenly,
So much like a tongue of flame,
It seems alive

Finally your eyes settle on hers,
And all rational thought flees
Her eyes are both emerald stones and pools,
They hit you with the force of rolling boulders,
You start to lose yourself,
To drown within the waters that are those beautiful green gems

Everything dims but for her,
The dancing, writhing bodies around you,
The multi-coloured lights that sparkle and dazzle you,
But for her
Everything but her

You cannot tear your eyes from hers,
You cannot climb out of those bottomless pools,
You cannot find your breath,
Your limbs begin to tremble

Somehow,
Deep down,
You know she is your damnation and your salvation

Slowly,
She moves,
Unwinding herself from the chair where she sat.
She walks towards you,
Her dress accentuating the slenderness of her limbs

She stalks towards you,
Moving languidly,
Yet looking like a lioness,
Prowling through her domain

She stops before you and those amazing eyes flash up to yours,
Green fires glowing with amusement
She smiles and steals your breath
"What is your name?"
She asks and your life begins
