Someday, We turn around to recount our lives, |
Someday, We will turn around to recount our lives, Tearfully bidding goodbye to our younger selves. Someday, The ice that surrounds us will become a lake, And we will swim away together. Someday, The burning valley will be quenched, And we rebuild our homes as one. Someday, The colours of the rainbow will fade, And we will rely on each other to put it right. Someday, The sun will bleach the last grain of dirt, And burn itself in a furious blaze to end the solar system. Someday, The rocks beneath our feet will crumble to ash, And we will be caught on Gabriel’s wings. Someday, As one door closes another will open, And no-one will close that door that opens. Someday, the world around us will Fade into an empty darkness, and then only Angels will light the way. Someday, We will depart for eternity from this earth, To the arms of our Father, where we will forever reside. That day, Will be everlasting in our hearts, for He is everlasting and his light will never fade. And although, The world around Him fades, and His beloved creation runs wild, He remains all-powerful; a rock amongst the change. |
