She was once my machette
for my thickett of pain,
my hurricanes levy
when my tears fell like rain.
Where did our love go,
my hearts question to ask.
Why did caring so much
become a strenious task?
Was it the words that I spoke,
in which led her to cry?
Did her love gradually fade,
and eventually die?
Was it lust for another,
in which led her astray,
that left our bed cold
at the end of the day?
In these questions Im lost,
my heart urns for a prayer.
One that can turn back the time
to true love we once shared.
A love that did not judge harsh
on a meaningless fight.
A love that kept our bed warm
at the end of the night.
God please answer my prayers.
Wipe these tears from my face,
and dilute all this love
for my Andrea Grace.
