a love poem |
I can’t see my lover for the darkness has taken him Washed him in black and illuminated by the moon He sleeps alone in his tireless slumber A firm crease in his brow and a cat in the room Words in my memory float softly like dreams Will he awake to find that I am his queen? Does he think of me often do I resemble his heart? Or am I wasted alone; a caution less tart? He dreams of a place when hands touch under tables Of holding her hair, gasps coming in waves She’s taken over that place in his stable Where no other auxios can carry his loom Their hearts entwine as they settle through sadness A path bleached white glows crystal like dew She comes back to him now, her hair softly shining Smiling and lovely her eyes deepest blue I’ve dreamed of this moment my beautiful lady As fingerprints stroke the hands of the core They melt through the silence eyes wandering over Gazing as lovers do at bodies most adored A meeting place their minds have once spoken Now the body and feelings can flow He takes her firmly and gently receding She buckles and braces at his appearance so bold Lips touch and taste, a wonderous place arms in circles and dust fills the air smells of familiar things they have done She sighs sweetly knowing she’s home. |
