Summer

Summer

In a long vivid summer
we'll put down the top
let the breeze pass us by
and sail down the map

We'll sing and we'll dance
in our warm hazy days
throw up our hands
swirl through the rays

We'll stop at a river
and build us a swing
out of old rope that
we've happened to bring

We'll swim and we'll laugh
and for a moment forget
the world and our past
and our future we'll set
