Be for me a place of rest
Sunlight cast your shadow
Cause the shade for my retreat
As the burning sand does beckon
Beneath my cowardly feet

Give me sanctuary
Beneath your chosen tree
Be my resting place
Allow me some reprieve

Please no longer hate me
Be not my enemy
Just cease your wretched hell
Send comfort in a breeze

For I can last no longer
I can hardly breathe
Lest you cast your shadow
My Sunlight saving me
