In your arms, I was beautiful.
We awoke at 6.15am
Freezing cold and sleepy.
I cuddled closer to you
and we rose.

Watching the skies change
With your arms around me
Felt right, more perfect
Than anything has ever been
Or ever will be again.

Soaked jeans and shoes,
We were too wasted to make a fire
We could barely see each other
But we managed.

You sang to me.
Music I never thought I could like
But from your mouth, the words seemed right
The melodies sweeter than any other
