The underlying theme sticks out
Like a thumb that's sore
We've reached our peak...
Yet, my heart says there's more.

Memories plague me
Cupid evades me
Drownin' in a sea of despair

These words don't comfort at all

Through effervescent rains,
Declare that men are women's downfall."

Funny,
Reflection is a bitch
You can sratch at it all you like
But it doesn't remove the itch.

I wrote above LOVE
Hoping one day to meet her
Funny--she came--
But I didn't know how to treat her.

Cupid did his job
As far as that goes
Now, I look to him for comfort
But he is all out of arrows.

Looking in the mirror
