I was sent to observe a sophmore class for creative writing. Here is what I observed.
Observations of the Sophomores

Bored, sleepy, gossiping, glaring, staring, observing, confused little sophomores who think that they have figured out the intricate ways of surviving high school, but they have much more to learn.
Prissy, designer jeans wearing, glittery purse carrying, blonde-haired girls pay no attention as the bored, video game playing, baggy pants wearing, greasy haired boys attempt to flirt.
“What was the assignment?”
“Wait, we have a quiz?
“I didn’t know that was due today!”
The intelligent students sitting in the front of the class write down every word the teacher utters, and wait patiently for instructions with their notebooks out at ready.
“He went out with HER?”
“She’s going to prom with WHO?”
“He is SO hot.”
“She is SO cute.”
The drama drags on as the semester passes by…
Boyfriends and girlfriends break each other’s hearts, only to move on and pick up another boyfriend or girlfriend like a desperate hitchhiker.
Oh, will these under classmen ever learn?
Perhaps.
They still have two more years to go.
