Teeth begin to clench.
Eyes squint and narrow.

Heart starts to pound.
Blood vessels raise to surface.
Face turns red.
Anger becomes rage.
Mind silences sound.
Thoughts focus on present.
Reason ceases to be.

Hate fills lungs.
Mouth emits scream.
Legs drive forward
Body hardens in tow.

Enemy steps forward.
Hands grip sword.
Arms raise skyward.
Hilt gleams in sun.

Blade cuts air.
Foe fails to defend.
Edge penetrates flesh
skull splits in two.

Body becomes limp.
Gravity takes over.
Body falls to earth.
Prayer not answered.
Family begins weeping.

Death is summoned.
Future now destroyed.
Remorse not present.
Duty instead of honor.
