Searched forever and for eternity, eons passed by me like days
Until I found a beautiful heart to give me something to love and to praise
At first you were so amorous, then desolate apathy came
And then your heart seemed to flutter at the mere mention of my name
You felt so warm and kept me close, but did so from afar
Keeping me away from thee and thus my wounds began to scar
And thus the cycle ebbed and flowed, like tides of oceans vast
Until the first days of our love were but a distant past
Now I feel unsure of things; what will become of all this frustration?
What will become of the seed you planted now blooming into creation?
Childish infatuation is now gone, what remains is pure devotion
What you've done to me I cannot explain, nor say what you've set in motion
