Poetry from a 16 year old girl.
Look forward,
whats missing?
I am.
Not even in your perefrials can you see me,
because im gone.
We are no longer as one like we used to be.
You are dancing to the melody of lost,
and i am dancing to the meoldy of found.
Trying to figure out whats right,
and whats right seems to be out of sight.
Eyes, dry from not blinking.
Whats that you see?
Nothing, nothing but the sihlouette of misery.
Wide eyed, shocked by the loss,
you realize you need me.
All those memories flashing like a colage,
the first kiss, words, breaths.
You took a leap from the highest building
you thought you had flown to the top til you remembered,
the rope around your neck, tightening,
Burning a mark to match your circle of life.
Im counting down the seconds,
your lungs deflate and cannot refill.
Your trembling, twitching to the 40th second,
by 60 your dead.
Its a one minute rewind to the begging of time,
or is it too late for fairytales?
