~Shaded Eyes~

Love and deceit

   

I can't believe I fell for those deceitful lies.

 

I was confused,  I was caught up in deceit.

   

I couldn't tell black from white, hidden

         

behind those shaded eyes.

   

I was caught up in this haze, you were

     

like a complicated maze. I fell for

     

your schemes, they got caught

       

up in our dreams. They were

           

all lies hidden behind

             

those shaded eyes.

       

They say the eyes are the

         

window to a soul, yours,

                 

my dear, is as

                   

black as

                     

coal.
