The sweet scent of the air,
with what does it compare?
The chilly nights, the sunny days,
it all makes up for the haze.
The moon and the stars, twinkling at night,
who knew they could shine so bright?
And even in this beautiful atmosphere,
I can't think of a cure.
A cure for anticipation,
a cure for the lonely.
A cure for a fighting nation,
a cure for the homely.
A cure for heartbreaks, which always hurt so bad.
A cure for all the times we feel mad or sad.
But if we had a cure for these things what would life be like?
No anger or frustration when you learn to ride a bike?
No agony when your crushed or lose someone?
No idea of the distinction between boring and fun?
Even though a cure sounds good at times like these,
I must ask you to really think, please.
Without bad emotions in our world today,
friends, family, and love would seem just 'okay'.
And when you feel that life is unfair,
think of this poem and you'll start to care.
