Urban poetry about a man coming into his own |
Black men give a listen, but remember that The choice is yours to call upon. Because the “day has long passed You by.” The day that you must stand tall in morality in the highest Of the intestinal fortitude that is within you! The day that you were to stand and stand tall As the backbone at the structural foundation of your homes. The day that You were to stand tall in the liberty of being the head of your home. The Day that you were to be the leader in your decision-making skills to lead your Families, to provide stability unto the enhancing the foundation for your Next generation to continue on. You have instead become nothing more than a Punching bag for society by the forcing of “Black Queens” To make all the sound decisions, by pressuring them into being mother And father, by demoting them from the throne of a “Black Queen” to That of an underachieving welfare seeking picture that society has Painted of her. Oh sure, I know, she has to stand on the two feet That God gave her and you didn’t force her to do anything right? Guess what? Again I say “the days has long passed you by. The day when you as the man !!! took on the call to duty. And realize that even though she didn’t stand on her own two feet and you may not have forced it upon her, you did nothing as the backbone, because “The day has long passed you by.” The day that you were to realize that as the head “If there’s no God then there’s no Peace But if you know God then you know Peace” |
