Random Poem written sometime in high school
Requests denied til truths be told,
life not lived til time grows old.
Undeserved rewards follow efforts untried,
guarding memories where thoughts once stayed.
Still I will not be afraid.

Sugar is sweet but pepper burns,
death continues as the world turns.
Change is always constant,
tender milker turns to old maid.
Still I will not be afraid.

Demons scream and Angels cry,
failures joke and gamblers lie.
People crowd the precious earth,
rulers put on an endless promenade.
Still I will not be afraid.

Rock try to crumble towering wall,
twigs try to make mighty mountains fall.
Hidden ropes bind those untrue,
Dark clouds fight to make the sun fade.
Still, I will not be afraid.
