Half Open Eyes

Watching the birds and wondering how can they fly so high.

Seeing the clouds all scattered while they cling to the edge of the sky.

Looking at a drenched kitten thinking why was he let out in the rain.

Gazing down the end of a needle knowing it will never stop the pain.

Rolling away from those who know you but will they ever see the truth.

Glaring at those pretentious because they think they're better than you.

Staring in amazement when there's a truly miraculous sight.

Shutting close when it's unbelievable yes even when we know it's right.

Watching for truth that's out there but seems to be nowhere and still it's on the rise.

Open widely to what we really need to see but seldom with our own two eyes.
