.A brief summary and preview of the England's current India Tour.
The England cricket team have been in absolute anguish throughout the India Tour,  They lost five out of five games in the slashed ODI series due to the Mumbai terrorist attack, and then was defeated in the first match of the two-match Test series.

Failures of every department would account for the heavy defeat in the ODI series as Kevin Pietersen's team were completely outplayed in every aspect.  Perhaps the bowling would have been blamed more by many, having allowed India to compile a massive total, especially in the first two games.

In-form Yuvraj Singh was pelting England bowlers out of the ground, no matter what area they bowled.  Yuvraj, who was previously dropped in the Test side against Australia, scored two consecutive ODI hundreds in the first two matches.

Sachin Tendulkar, who demanded to be rested after their famous victory against the Aussies, returned to the ODI side in the third match.  This seemed to have pulled England out of the series further.  Unsurprisingly, hapless England finished the ODI series with a white-wash.

With regard to the first Test, England were on-top during the first four days.  Having declared, India required a record target of 387 on the sub-continent.  Although this appeared to be the right decision from Pietersen, the Asian team were unexpectedly able to achieve this giant goal.  Yet again, thanks to the winning partnership between Yuvraj and Tendulkar.

India opener Sehwag started off for India superbly, which earned him the man-of-the-match award.  Prior to Yuvraj's arriving at the crease, Flintoff got rid of the out-of-form Dravid.  However, Yuvraj was in his 80s while Tendulkar flicked the final ball to the boundary to guide India home and recorded his 41st Test centuriy.  The Mumbai-born Tendulkar's excellent innings had undoubtedly cheered up his compatriots, following the tragedy in Mumbai.

India's victory over England means that the Asian nation will now replace South Africa in the 2nd position in the ICC ranking table, just below Australia.  Pietersen has much to mull over towards the upcoming decider should he wish to regain pride.  Without any suspicion, recently injury-blighted pacer Stuat Braod is opted ahead of senior left-arm spinner Monty Panesar is one of the results of his pondering.
